The PRGR RS range of clubs are suited for the better players category, yet retain the distance and forgiveness welcomed by golfers of all levels. The New RS will not disappoint golfers with their latest offerings, available exclusively at MST Golf stores.
Driver (RRP S$1,230)
The double ‘W’ crown design reinforces the clubhead to deliver faster ball speed off the face. The ‘W’ rib designed to the inside of the top crown closed to the face joint deflects energy to the ball at impact allowing it to achieve high Characteristic Time (CT) or simply called Giri Giri in Japanese. The Nabla face of the new RS has a smaller area for the thick centre portion compared to RS2017, and thinner peripheral areas. This evolution of the Nabla Face has advanced the expansion of the high Giri Giri.
The RS Driver is designed with deep center of gravity and draw bias characteristic to promote explosive distance at impact. The sweet spot for this new driver has been fine-tuned with a larger sweet spot at 232mm2 compared to the previous model with only 138mm2. This leads to more forgiveness off the tee. RS Driver is also equipped with ballistic control system (Bacosy) with its variable loft mechanism that allows you to control your ball flight.
Fairway Woods (RRP S$619)
The fairway woods are designed with a thin L cup maraging face for forgiveness on mis-hits. It also features the same ‘W’ crown design for faster face deflection which translates into improved distance compared to its predecessor.
The fairway woods feature a low centre of gravity design, thin crown and semi-deep face for a more pleasing look that instils confidence at address.
Utility (RRP S$530)
Made thin with a maraging face and ‘W’ crown design, the RS utility aligns as easily as irons for a more precise aim to the target. A low centre of gravity design head ensures forgiveness even on mis-hits.
RS Iron (Steel 5-P, RRP1,730 / Graphite 5-P – RRP S$2,030)
A thin L cup maraging face and backside grooves to enhance feel and vibration absorbing foam “FLASH ONE 1” ensures a soft feel at impact. The RS Iron also features a low centre of gravity with a compact head to produce enhanced feel when struck. It is also made from soft iron to enable loft and lie angle adjustments.
RS Forged iron (Steel 5-P – RRP S$1,730)
These forged irons are stronger lofted to instil confidence to the player to hit the distance with minimal effort. Adopting the “FLASH ONE” foam to dampen vibration, the RS will outshine its competitor with its feel and distance. Due to the soft nature of the forging, loft and lie adjustments can be made in a breeze.
PRGR, pronounced as Pro Gear made its debut in 1983 with a bang. They are the founders of head speed theory (H/S) or better known as club head speed/club speed. Golf balls that are suited to certain head speed which optimized ball flight in the same year were also launched.
PRGR is no stranger to innovation. With its giant parent company, Yokohama Rubber, it’s all about innovation to stay ahead of the rest in the ever challenging market.
