The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is the most exciting phone to launch in 2018 and for golfers the world over, it is the stuff that dreams are made of.
Apart from the high tech gizmos that come with this high-end mobile device, including an in-display fingerprint sensor, 3D face unlock, reverse wireless charging, a great 6.39-inch curved OLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio display and all-round excellent hardware, it also has one of the longest lasting batteries in the market.
There is also a bigger Mate 20 X phone that has a 7.2-inch AMOLED display with 18.7:9 aspect ratio.
Performance wise, the Mate 20 Pro features 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which is standard fare for a current Android flagship and more storage can be had with the Porsche Design Mate 20 RS series with 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.
However, the Mate 20 Pro is the first smartphone to support the new Nano-Memory technology, which Huawei hopes will become an industry standard.
But the real draw here is the Leica collaboration featuring an industry best triple camera that can scroll between various percentages of wide-angle (as low as 0.6 times), standard, three times telephoto and even five times hybrid zoom, all with unerring clarity.
Furthermore, with a new AI (artificial intelligence) software built in, the camera can detect any given type of photography just by pointing at the subject, and thereby giving enlightened meaning to the term, ‘point-and-shoot’.
So while a picture tells a thousand words, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro’s Leica triple camera says so much more. Just check out the pictures HERE taken at the recent Cassia Cup hosted by Sir Nick Faldo at Laguna Golf Bintan and judge for yourselves.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is available in authorised retail stores islandwide. Also launched are the Huawei Watch GT and Huawei Band 3 Pro active lifestyle devices.
