From the end of October 2018, TUDOR will be available in Japan. Distribution will commence with a combination of ‘pop-up’ stores and permanent locations in Tokyo and Osaka, quickly expanding to include points of sale in Nagoya and Sapporo.

They are offering TUDOR a strong presence in their most prominent locations”, explains Eric Pirson, Director of Montres TUDOR S.A.. TUDOR’s partners in Japan include Isetan, Daimaru, Takashimaya, Hankyu Umeda, Matsuzakaya and Mitsukoshi.
In September and October 2019, Japan will be the host country of the Rugby World Cup, a global event of which TUDOR is Official Timekeeper, and “a great and timely way to amplify TUDOR’s message in this new market and beyond”, adds Eric Pirson.
“With this presence in the Japanese market, alongside our key openings in the US (2013), the UK (2014) and the Korean domestic market earlier this year, TUDOR is now truly a global brand that is represented in close to 100 countries worldwide”, Pirson states. The name TUDOR was registered in 1926 with distribution quickly being set up in Europe, Australia and Canada.
In 1946, Montres TUDOR S.A. was set up as a company and with that, distribution expanded to further include America, with TUDOR among other things becoming a supplier of the US Navy, and Asia. At the turn of the Century, TUDOR’s focus was mainly on China and Hong Kong. Recent years have seen the global redeployment of the brand led by its flagship product line, Black Bay, a watch which pays homage to more than 60 years of making professional diving watches.
