The 7th edition of the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup has once again set an unprecedented stage as the world’s widest-reaching corporate amateur golf series, consisting of over 100 qualifiers across 71 countries.
Since its inception in 2013, the series has grown exponentially. Starting with just 12 qualifying events, the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup has now grown to over 100 qualifiers across the globe that saw over 8,000 participants competing last year.
The largest of its kind, the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup has been the networking platform of choice for senior business executives and industry experts, combined with the award-winning hospitality of Turkish Airlines.
Worldwide, participants of each qualifying event of the amateur corporate series vie for a spot to compete in the prestigious Grand Final that will take place in November at Cornelia Diamond Golf Resort & Spa in Antalya, Turkey.
In addition, participants of the Grand Finals will be flown Business Class with five-star accommodation and transfers, courtesy of Turkish Airlines.
Once reserved for winners of the Grand Finals in previous years, the top 10 percentile will now score an exclusive opportunity to tee off with the pros at the Pro-Am of the Turkish Airlines Open, an annual tournament on the European Tour.
In previous editions, the Pro-Am has seen the likes of Henrik Stenson, Martin Kaymer, Victor Dubuisson, Lee Westwood, Rory McIlroy and 15-time Major Champion, Tiger Woods, partnering with the select few who have claimed the coveted title as champions of the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup.
Since the series began in February at the Royal Golf Club Bahrain, the qualifiers have already taken place in numerous cities such as Cape Town, Tokyo, Doha, Manila, Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh and Stockholm, with the Singapore qualifiers to take place at Laguna National Golf & Country Club on 23 August.
