The arrival of summer in the Yoichi mountains of Hokkaido brings warm days and cool nights along with green, forested hillsides, blooming meadows and refreshing lakes and streams. Kiroro’s Mountain Center will help guests coordinate activities on and off the mountain. Enjoy panoramic gondola rides up Mt. Asari, cast a fishing line into scenic Lake Yashio, or take an ATV buggy tour of the mountains.
Kiroro’s Nature Center features many complimentary activities for guests at the resort, including tennis, swimming, Park Golf and the Granship indoor amusement park. The Nature Center can book the spectacular Waterfall Adventure Tour and water activities in the area, including kayaking and stand-up paddleboard. From July 20 – September 1, Kiroro offers the 1-Day Passport for adults and families to enjoy complimentary and discounted activities at the resort. The 1-Day Passport is JPY 4,000 (adults); JPY 3,500 (child); and JPY 10,000 for a family of up to four people.

Mt. Asari Gondola – Ascend 1,180 metres to the top of Mt. Asari, and enjoy unending vistas of Ishikari Bay, the Shakotan Penisula and the mountains of Niseko. From the top, hike over to the neighboring peak of Mt. Yoichi to double your summits. New this year – bring your canine friends along to enjoy a new dog run at the top of the mountain. Mt. Mountain Biking – Kiroro Resort has designed several mountain biking experiences ranging from beginner to advanced technical that showcase the stunning mountain beauty and terrain. New this year, bring a mountain bike on the gondola and enjoy a long downhill ride on the trails. Mountain bike rentals available. The Gondola-Mountain Bike experience is available from July 27; the Mountain Bike Course is available from July 1.
Turbo E-Bike – Love the idea of mountain biking, but want a little assist? Ride a turbo Levo, a specialized mountain e-bike that makes biking up the mountain easy with a 530-watt pedal-assist motor.
Buggy Tour – Explore the mountainside on an ATV buggy. Spend an afternoon cruising through the fields and over rough terrain. A great activity for couples and groups. Available from July 20 – October 14; advance reservation required.
Segway Tour – Cruise quietly through the forest of Kiroro on gentle trails. Segways are easy to learn and the perfect activity for couples. Available from July 20 – October 14; advance reservation required.
Waterfall Adventure Tour – Discover hidden waterfalls and secret streams on this 90-minute adventure tour, perfect for business groups and families. Available from July 20 – September 1; advance reservation required.
SUP and Kayak – Paddle or kayak around Ochiai Dam Lake, exclusive to guests staying at Kiroro resort. Available from July 20 – September 1.
Fireworks and Campfire – Enjoy fireworks celebrated with music, bonfire and s’mores. Dates TBD.
Kiroro Premium BBQ – A fun outdoor BBQ featuring Hokkaido’s best seafood and meats grilled up and served with seasonal, local produce. Finish the BBQ with fireworks and a bonfire.
Onsen – Relax at Kiroro Onsen, a natural caldera hot spring that flows from the Akaigawa Village. Soak in mineral-rich water and enjoy pristine forest views. Or, relax and detox in Ganbanyoku, the hot stone sauna.
